COVID -19 Response

Dear Friends of the ACVA-

The Ability Center of Virginia is committed to keeping you informed about our response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The health and well-being of our staff, participants, volunteers, and supporters is our primary concern. The ACVA is following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,  state and county authorities.

The Ability Center of Virginia will remain closed to the public through January 2021.  Ability Days programing will be offered via Zoom. Registered particpants should check thier email for more information and links.  Contact Anna with all virtual programming questions.

Please continue to check this page,  and our social media (Facebook and Instagram) for the latest updates on the ACVA's response to COVID-19. We will be evaluating the infection rates in our area before making a determination as to how  February progrmaing will be offered.

Staff: Dedicated to the ACVA and You!
Our team remains committed to serving those in our community with different ABILITIES. Staff will be working remotely as we continue moving forward with plans Camp Ability and the spring session of Ability Days. We are all dedicated to you and the ACVA and look forward to returning to a healthy.

How You Can Help: Support the Ability Center of Virginia
We know how extraordinarily difficult this time is for everyone, but any support you can provide to the Ability Center of Virginia is greatly appreciated, http://www.abilitycenterva.org/donate.html. The loss of the spring session of Ability Days and a portion of the fall session of programing, combined with our inability to host the Gala, and Ability Run has resulted in a severe financial loss to the ACVA. Your support is truly appreciated.

Stay Safe and Healthy
We hope that everyone in our community remains safe and healthy as we work together to get through this public health crisis. Please stay in touch with the Ability Center of Virginia by visiting our website and social media for the latest updates on how we are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. You can also reach out to us at michelle@abilitycenterva.org if you have any questions, or have information you wish to share.

We have taken this opportunity to ensure that when the time is right our participants, team, and families have a safe environment to return to. The ACVA and all program vehicles have been deep cleaned and disinfected.

Stay well-
Team ACVA
